The Foundation has its headquarters in the “carmen” (typical southern house with gardens) studio built by painter José Rodríguez Acosta (1878-1941) between 1916 and 1930, declared National Monument on 1981. The original heritage consisting of house and various areas, where the original atmosphere is still present, is enriched by the documentary and material legacy from archaeologist and historian Manuel Gómez-Moreno (1870-1970). It also includes other donations, such as the collection from painter Manuel Maldonado (1915-1984) or the photography collection by José Martínez Rioboó.
