The house of wealthy landowner and Member of Parliament Segundo Sierra Pambley was built between 1846 and 1848. The second floor reflects the family’s private life, which contrasts in decoration with the first floor, dedicated to social life. Both floors conserve the original furniture and other decorative elements (silverwork, china, glass, cloths, wallpapers, lamps and other lighting elements, heating appliances and part of the extraordinary family library), which follow the fashionable styles of the Europe of that time.

Another area presents the educational activities of the Sierra Pambley Foundation, following the renovative ideas of the “Institución Libre de Enseñanza” (Free Institution of Teaching).
