Construction of early medieval origin whose oldest preserved remains date from the eleventh to the thirteenth centuries. It was reformed by Don Alvaro de Luna in the fifteenth century, who converted it into Palatial Residence. The last significant restoration took place in contemporary times. The tour includes the Bailey, the libraries Miguel Alemán Valdés and Marqués de Lozoya, the Collector’s Museum, the Horsemanship Museum, the Virgin of Guadalupe Museum and the Romantic Museum, located in a room dating from the reign of Isabel II. Currently the building serves as headquarters of the Spanish-Mexican Foundation Castilnovo, and some of its spaces are being used as Hotel and Restaurant.
