House dating from the sixteenth century, which was owned by Maria Pita’s (1565-1643) first husband. The house museum commemorates not only the figure of the Galician heroin but also her time. Thus, there are references to the La Coruña of her time, and the relations between Spain and England that marked it, such as the siege of the city by the privateer Francis Drake in 1589. One of the areas of the Museum house recreates domestic spaces like the store and the bedroom that belonged to the home of Maria Pita’s parents.
